With inspiration taken from the traditional dyeing technique Shibori this clay wall mural has a timeless feel to it. Minimalistic lines have been carved out in clay creating a pattern mimicking the traditional look of shibori, but with a new raw look. The somewhat minimalistic and conservative color setting is a well-known characteristic attributed to the Japandi aesthetic. It’s deliberately used to leave room for contemplation, still the senses, and bring forth soothing feelings found in nature.
